Connie Szerszen is an award-winning portrait artist and legendary media celebrity. As a Chicago pioneering air personality, Connie was the “first female in America with her own show, prime time, in a major market” (WIND, Chicago). She was also the first female in America to broadcast “live” on an all-digital radio station, WJMK 104.3 HD-2, (CBS, Chicago). She has MC’d concerts of national entertainers, featured on the cover of THE CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, MIDWEST magazine, and entered into the U.S. CONGRESSIONAL RECORD.
Connie has been interviewed on numerous Chicago radio and TV stations — most recently on ABC CHICAGO with Janet Davies for the 4:30 News. Also, on WGN-TV with Steve Sanders for the Mid-Day News.
Art has always been her passion, having won her first art award at the age of ten; she won 1st place for two consecutive years in high school (a first for THE NEW WORLD, a Catholic publication). At fourteen, she won 1st prize in a midwest major newspaper contest, which was a trip to Disneyland & Paramount Studios.
